we have had a strange winter in new england. after all the crazy stories about how awful it would be, we have only had one snowstorm this past october and that is it! it’s been beautiful, and unseasonably warm.

however, week before last we had two days of rain + i had two kids fighting stomach bugs, so they stayed home from school. this was the perfect opportunity for us to create valentine’s day cards!

…and that we did.

all of our card designs this year are treat-free, so if that is something you need, these might be good for you. {i will be posting 3 ideas this week.}

January 3, 2012

have you heard of about.me? it’s a personal page that is all about you.

if you are on a variety of social networks: a blog, Facebook, twitter, pinterest, instagram, vimeo… etc etc etc.
then, this is ONE page where you can put all your contact information in one place. {see my page here.}

it’s very convenient for anyone who wears many hats.

and, right now – moo.com, a great online print site is offering 50 FREE BUSINESS CARDS if you create a new about.me page! {you only pay $5 for shipping!}

December 27, 2011

i mentioned here that i was attending blogshop. it was unquestionably* the best photoshop skills i’ve learned in the least amount of time, ever. it was a great re-fresher on tools i forget to use & an eye-opener to things i had no idea about.

bri and angela are a fantastic creative team – charming & smart.

the left image above – at the last minute, i threw together some business cards for the weekend. i’m currently designing new cards for 2012, and if you are ever in a bind – some card stock + washi tape make a great instant-card.

how do you feel about the tradition of christmas cards? a lost art? you’ve never sent one? you always send one?

i’m having an inner battle with the expense and time involved. i adore christmas cards – i have a preparing/addressing/stamping party of one when i’m preparing ours.

but, this year, we have maybe received 40-50… and, i sent almost 300.

should i stop? is it not-green to be doing so?
{my envelopes & washi tape from here andhere, personalized stamper from here.}

regardless, i still enjoy the tradition.  and, if you are not on our mailing list –
