Kiana: Has been searching online 24/7 for a prom dress. It’s not easy to find the right dress.

Myla: Passed her state foods test and gets to show off that accomplishment at school with this personalized apron!

KJ: This dude went temporarily missing on Wednesday after school this week. He had our nanny pretty worried when she couldn’t find him, his dad left work, I left school early, and we were ALL looking for him around our nieghborhood!

BYU Museum of Art

BYU Museum of Art Plexus 29 installation via seejaneblogI’m currently taking an Ancient Non-Western Art History class – which more or less includes all of the ancient civilization art of the world outside of Europe. My professor suggested we visit a current art exhibit at the BYU Museum of Art called, “Loving Devotion” which turned out to be absolutely incredible. It illuminates the rich heritage and symbolism of Hindu worship in the lives of believers. I’m going to write a separate post about it.

Today, I’m sharing a few pictures of the other exhibits currently taking place – that I was allowed to take pictures of…

One, is the new “Plexus No. 29” string installation by Gabriel Dawe:

The two translucent structures filtering through the Museum’s skylight appear to be luminous rays of light refracted through a giant prism.

Have you tried Valter’s Osteria in Salt Lake City? There is nothing like it. For two days I’ve been trying to think if there is any restaurant in the world that I like better than Valter’s and I can’t think of any… The food is unreal. And the host is truly something special. If you go – you can’t go wrong with ANY of the food. However, I really recommend the lemon gelato for dessert that comes drizzled in honey and sprinkled with sea salt. There are no words for it, it’s indescribable. And the pasta – oh don’t start me on the pasta!

We reconnected with friends at Valter’s this weekend,

gift ideas via seejaneblogHere is my 2014 holiday gift guide! (ha!) I have yet to figure out how to share my genguine top gift suggestions before the holidays – because usually THESE ARE THE ITEMS I am stashing away for my friends and family! They can’t see on my blog what I’m planning for them BEFORE the holidays (and obviously, myself, since my name is shown on the personalized thumb drive and keychains above!) so consider this a jump start for this year!!!

concrete planter for fairy garden via seejaneblogWith temperatures consistently in the sixties here in Utah, Sela and I spent six hours playing in the fairy gardens yesterday. It was time to take down the festive Christmas items and be a little creative…

We decided to go with a woodland theme this time, probaby my favorite. And with a bundle of branches and some hot glue we made a homemade swinging bridge and ladder:

Kiana: Is spending the long weekend in Boston visiting her friends (and the snow) there. This girl is savvy and independant.

Myla: Has been practicing her softball skills while KJ practices for spring baseball. She’s now hoping to be on the softball and golf teams this spring for high school!

KJ: Since being grounded from “technology” he has reconnected with his Rubiks cube, air soft guns, bike, and more – I just might not allow technology for a long time because I lOVE how he spends his time when grounded.
