lisa, one of the sweetest girls i will ever know…

i met her when we were freshmen together at SUU {southern utah university in cedar city, utah} back in 1994.

last week, she married paul, and they are the most darling couple.

her wedding was the ‘suu of the 90’s’ a.k.a. ‘alpha phi’ reunion of the decade!

so lovely.

this first picture is me with my roommates from my second year at suu. {suzie/ericka/lyndie/moi} these girls deserve something amazing for living through that year with me. it was an exciting one, to say the least.

this wedding was the highlight of our philippines trip last week. we were able to share in the beautiful celebration of lovella mercado & jeremy salas. lovella has been a dear friend of our family for years. dusty has known her and her family for about 15 years, and i have known her for about 13 years. She even lived with dusty, kiana, myla and i back when we lived in the philippines for six months in pro look’s early years. lovella and jeremy are childhood friends, but actually started dating while they were both nurses in london. dusty and i met jeremy in london when we took our 10th anniversary european trip almost 4 years ago.

my bestie owns this amazing reception center in northern utah.
in bountiful, to be exact.

and at this moment, i just saw the most amazing pictures from a wedding that was held there lately.

simply gorgeous.

the reception center is called, “the canterbury place,”
and if i was a bride {in the near future} in northern utah,
i would be on the phone booking this place.

because, as i said, it’s simply gorgeous!

so it was so nice to catch up with her and her groom at their wedding!

when i joined the rhodes family, 13 years ago, and dusty and i dated for the year previous to that…bridget was about 10 years old. she has always been a gem of a sweetheart. so genuine. ambitious. hard-working. honest. her smile radiates from deep within, and she has a soul of goodness.

i have loved the time i have spent with bridget, it seems like yesterday when i was styling her hair for prom, or listening to her and her sisters giggle about their social lives. long gone are those days. they are all beautiful women now. over the years, we have watched bridget dominate at the rodeo, her love of the country and horses runs deep in her veins.
