that is quite possibly the first time i’ve gone THAT long without posting since i started blogging!

lets see…

i’m still working on projects around the house. {pictures…one day.}

finals are next week = i’m stressed. i have six pimples, and i’m eating terrible.

i am preparing for kj’s 7th birthday party.

i am preparing for company from the philippines and then company from mexico.

kiana is getting ready for a dance competitin in denver next week, she and i will be traveling, and she is dancing even more hours than normal per day.

myla is recovering from the stomach flu and missed three days of school.

while we have been in maui, our thoughts have been wrapped around this little guy from home…

our dear friends sara and matt, have had a heartbreaking tragedy that began this past saturday morning. many of you know sara, and have already been in touch with her or their family in some way. They are in awe of the outpouring of love & support that their family is receiving.

sara has decided in the past couple of days to keep everyone updated through the staker family blog, here.

we are all hoping and praying for big miracles.

my mr. and i are oughtta here! our 14th anniversary is on

monday, february 1st!

we’re are en route to maui, sans kids, for a week.

{dusty & kj halloween ’08}
last year, many of you will remember, i designed a transforming bumblebee costume for kj for halloween. it was definitely one of my better-momma/design-accomplishments. he even won $500 from the 97.1 kzht “jack-o-cutie’s” halloween kid costume contest! it was awesome.

i assumed this year, we would continue the tradition and any day now i would start designing a newer-even-more awesome transforming-transformer costume.

but, come to find out…

he doesn’t want to!

i’m kind of bummed.

he wants to be “snake eyes,” from g.i.joe since seeing the movie with big papi.

and – for the rest of us…i’m plum out of good ideas for halloween this year.

i’ll admit it.

I am a walking weather report. really. Any time of the day, any day of the week, you can ask me what the weather is going to be like…in my city or the city I am traveling in or the city/country I am about to go to…I will know…the weather report.

maybe i’m a weather geek.

I have to know. The weather completely sets the schedule. How my kids need to be dressed, How I need to be dressed, what shoes I wear depending on how warm my feet need to be, do I need an umbrella in my handbag?, Can we stop by the park…?
