eighty and sunny…
where we are.
{greetings from mexico.}
we are spending our afternoons by the pool, at the beach, by another pool, by another beach, by another pool, by another beach. repeat. repeat. repeat. {for two weeks!}
life is good.
life was best for my moosey when we discovered they had set-up new soccer goals down on the beach.
her birthday is next week, and she is now requesting we play sand soccer all day for her!
the sand crab,
caught by big papi,
created some big smiles from our little munchkins…
.....
this little guy…
packed his bags very early in the morning,
and left for the philippines eight days ago with big papi.
kj thought his turn to go {alone} would never come!
our kids are on a rotation, taking turns traveling one on one with
husband to the pro look factory in the philippines.
{we all fight to go, we love it there!}
kiana had her turn here, and myla here, here, and here…
and now, finally it was buddy’s turn!
.....
dirty’s fabulous fortieth…
i don’t ever want to forget weekends like this.
{blast our weekend theme song, here.}
it was filled with family and friends. just like every year, the candles were blown out. games were played. stories were shared. music was played. laughter was contagious. one-liners were rampant. memories were made.
and, it was magical.
we filled this RV with as many people as we could,
and headed south…
lots of card games, scrabble, and treats.
thank you to michael for having incredible driving-parking skills,
“i’ve never seen a 40-foot sports car go so fast!”

nycda – salt lake city
…well, after most of our halloween festivities wrapped up last week,
we all headed up to salt lake city to meet up with kiana at her nycda
dance convention-competition.
here’s a little peek at how our family squishes ourselves into one hotel room.
yes, our youngest child throws a fit about her bed on the floor,
which usually means she ends up in someone else’s bed before 2am.
if you notice myla sunken in her bed,
she had messed with the remote-numbers on her bed,
and it was never quite right the rest of the night…
those ‘number’ beds just don’t make any sense to me!
.....
nycda – mobile, alabama
she attended a dance workshop there, with nycda.
three years ago, she set a goal, i mentioned it here and here.
well, now she is at the top of the junior age category, and we are working towards her goal…once again.
these six dancers: kiana {12}, darby {14}, jenna {16}, zoey {17}, justin {16}, and ruger {16} all had similar goals this weekend…
and they all met those goals! all six of these kids went to NYCDA Alabama & earned ‘outstanding dancer’ scholarships in each of their age divisions for nationals in new york city in july!
