a perfect day.

June 7, 2010
our memorial day included…

good friends + good food + sunshine.

it was perfect. while our loved ones who have passed on, were in our thoughts.

i used my new polaroid camera for the pictures, i’m still adjusting to the settings. anyone else struggling with the settings on this camera? it’s hard to waste the film when you gotta pay for it!

with my passion for blogging, i’ve decided to implement a new weekly post:

flashback fridays.

i want to slowly add more memories from our past, not just the current happenings to my world of blogging.

flashback memories may include memories from our family, my family, dusty’s family, maybe even a little u.s. history – who knows…this will evolve…

so, for my first post, while sitting here i started thinking,

“where were we ten years ago, this month… June 2000???”

this realization almost scared me, with the reality of how much has happened in my life in the past ten years. wow. as often as we hear it or say it,

schools out!!!

May 31, 2010

woot! woot!

on the last day of school, my kids had to go from 8:45 am-10:15am. {lame.}

then we all attended sela’s little gym show.

ate lunch at chuck e. cheese’s.

went home and the neighborhood kids started appearing at our house.

{we have always been the ‘hang-out’ house. which i love.}

dusty organized a serious game of wiffleball. {picture above}

i think he loves playing wiffleball with all the neighborhood kids, because HE loves playing wiffleball. love that man. so cute to see him out entertaining them!

since dusty & i were dating,

{yes, he’s played tee ball, and coach pitch. but they are not quite the same.}

our dream came true last week!
kj is playing ‘machine pitch’ on the Cubs for city league baseball.

we are in love with taking him to practice. big papi is an assistant coach. we really love going to his games. his sisters love being there. we love the snack shack. we really love his little bum in those baseball pants{!} we love his strut when he’s in his uniform walking around.

we have had such a great time meeting up with friends & family lately…

we love visitors to utah!

meet the Bartholomew’s, minus a few of them…

this is Dusty’s aunt & uncle, nadine & david.

they have six girls and two twins boys, all adults now.

all dusty’s favorite cousins. {sorry to offend any relatives out there.}

i mentioned here that Dusty ran away from home when he was sixteen years old.

not his finest hour.

but can you blame him?

he was being raised on a ranch in southern nevada &
