moving to hawaii!

we had a girls lunch to say our good-bye’s to roxanna…

she and her family are joining our other friends in maui.

if the weather doesn’t warm up {and STAY warm} really soon around here, it’s going to be very tempting to want to join them!

best of luck! xoxo.

{gleeds: we MISSED bri at the indoor soccer game tonight…but the girls won! 14-8!}

i was going through some old scrapbooks a while back,
and found these old pictures of dusty and i.
it’s a few of the first pictures we took together.

and oh the memories these bring back.

here, we were hiking around zions national park,
in southern utah,
and stopped for a water/photo break…

and these are both from one of my first trips {of many later to come}
to the ranch in southern nevada where dusty was raised…

but all three of these were taken before we were husband and wife.

2009- “Rhodes Style”

2009 came and went like Ed Hardy Tee’s, Grandma’s Upset stomach or an In-N-Out high. So with excitement we are moving on with even higher expectations for 2010. Since the Rhodes’ are so dang *competitive we (dad) decided to hand out points to crown a champion of the year.

In 2009, Sela decided to test mom and dad’s resolve with potty training…1 point for Sela {unless you count each time she made us quit- then it would be more like 10-20 points.} She still loves her “pilley” and has especially loved sleepovers at grandma’s {which means a little more sleep in the morning for mom and dad.}

KJ has taken up tennis and has an Agassi like backhand…1 point for KJ.
