oh man, these kids were hard to say good-bye to… in fact, i may have given them more farewell hugs than even kiana did. for years, these girls & guys have hung out at our house – quite often i sit only a room away laughing almost as hard as they do at how crazy funny they are. for the past few summers, i’ve had them running through my kitchen on summer nights during night games – they play with all of our younger kids just like they were their own siblings… in fact, you can see myla on the front row snuggled up with one of our favorites – cayman. and, without a second thought i love each of these kids as if they are my own.

sela’s going-away party! sela requested “mustard yellow” which happens to be one of her favorite colors – and then when we were buying treats/etc. she kept saying “mustard yellow….AND PINK!” totally fits this baby girl of mine.

how cute are all these little girls? omgosh, killer. all those swimsuit ruffles!

this party was fun for all my kids because each bestie of mine who has a miss four-five, has older kids who are also buddies with my older kids, so everyone had fun – again!

swim party.

June 27, 2011

each of our kids had a swimming-going-away-party at our home with their friends. we used a color-theme for each party, and kept things really simple. kj wanted his party to have lots of color + a swim theme, so we made mini-gummy-candy-kabobs using swedish fish, and orange peach circles as floatiesĀ + beachy cupcakes + pizza + colorful popsicles… it turned out really cute & was so quick to prepare for.

these boys were crazy! i lined them up for this picture & without me knowing they planned to all jump in the pool on “2” when i said, “ok, 1…2…3… say cheese!” everyone jumped in the pool on 2! so, we did a re-take and they were good!

to everyone who helped us with the yard sale! we had help carrying items from in the house to outside; pricing items; setting up the yard sale signs we got from somewhere like Super Cheap Signs; taking pictures; help with adding up people item’s and collecting the cash; help cleaning up; help carrying items to people trucks; and on and on and on!

*thank you to everyone who bought our stuff! we had two-days of complete chaos + complete success!

*thank you to our neighbors who were very very patient with the huge traffic jams in our neighborhood.

with everything said and done, we feel like we are one more big step closer to our move.

the cazookie.

June 7, 2011

kiana and three of her besties had their own little end-of-school soiree last week.

when the final bell rang, they all headed over to ‘the chocolate’ here in orem.

these young ladies are all fans of ‘the cazookie,’ which is:
your choice of two cookies doughs baked together in a cake pan and topped with a scoop of melty vanilla bean ice cream.

sounds divine, right? yeah. so, i’ve forbidden myself to even taste it! i’m trying to eat good, and once i take even the tinsiest bite of sugar – i’m a goner. it’s all or nothing, and right now: nothing.

so, my end-of-the-school-year celebration is going to have to be post-poned until we’re celebrating something else…

these two little girlies are the cutest of friends.

last week, they were both going to be fairies in their dance recital, and being a fairy required special fairy make-up!

so, my friend rebecca and i decided to take our girls to lunch after their morning rehearsals… we all had lunch at the nordstrom cafe’, and then headed right on over to the mac counter.

this was their first time, for both girls, at the mac counter for makeovers. {obviously!}

omgosh. i was rolling. these two cutie-patooties were crack-ups! they loved every minute of it & i was dying at some of their expressions in the pictures!

i will let the pictures speak for themselves:

oh my my –
