to our dear friends, the granums.

they are embarking on a five-month move to Maui, and depending on how things go, they may or may not return to our neighborhood. They have been the most incredible neighbors and loyal friends for the past four-and-a-half years. Our kids are all buddies including a little “first crush” we have going on between Chase and Myla.

A few of my favorite memories…

Jenn was one of my first immediate girlfriends when we moved into our current home, and I recall how immediately impressed I was with her devotion to her husband and family. She is one die-hard mother hen. One time I offered/or begged to watch her boys so she and Geoff could go on a date for her birthday without the kids.

today is danny’s birthday!

we celebrated with sushi at happy sumo and a movie…slumdog millionaire deserves every academy award it won. we all loved it.

the cutest, most genuine, incredible kid-actors, great plot, completely moving. LOVE the Bollywood influence!

Dusty finished the book a couple weeks ago and insists that if you read it before OR after the movie, they both have their own thing going for them and you should definitely enjoy both.

we have a new post-movie tradition…starbucks!happy birthday!

Annie asked her readers this past week if Valentine’s day is:
dud or dandy?

my valentine will not be home for valentine’s day, definite dud.

But, earlier this week, I had a delicious lunch at “classy cuisine” with some of my favorite gals…

a.k.a carpool.

Jenn, Shannon, and I have carpooled our kids to school in the morning for this entire school year.

Let me be more clear – Jenn, Shannon, and Dusty. I would say Dusty does the majority of the driving. He loves it. I haven’t asked the kids, but I think they love it too.

Since Dusty’s been busy this week, I took my turn of driving. I was sad to think that these kids may not be going to the same school soon so I wanted a picture to remember the daily event.

although, I should also clarify. These are calm pictures. In my car we watch a movie,

happy 2nd birthday, crew!

Jenn planned the cutest party for Crew. The invitations were adorable. She had printed {by herself} little elmo invites with elmo and his fish dorothy, then she gave us a little goldfish & bowl that looked exactly like Elmo’s!

so cute.

then the kids partied at “the little gym!”

is a quaint urban cafe in downtown provo. in my photography class i was given the option to visit the cafe and view some photos on display by a student at uvu. it’s extra credit, and still early in the semester but i usually try to do all extra credit that is offered in case it’s needed down the road…

dusty and i tried to visit the cafe friday night, but to our surprise, it was standing room only. popular place. they have local live music and it was impossible to walk around the cafe and check out the photos…

so, I tried again today-
