blogging is something i needed in my life, three years ago.
complete kudos to this girlfriend, who introduced my daughter to blogging,
which inspired me to start blogging one full year later…

i’ve been writing, and sharing a lot about my life here since august, 2007. i’ve met amazing people online and in person from the blogging community. all of you, inspiring and beautiful in endless ways. i’ve been motivated to do things i may not have done without the blog-sphere influence in my life…
i’ve been touched by other people’s lives, numerous times,
for the better. I have to say if this is something you’ve wanted to do but you’re not sure how,

dusty’s niece mallory is a member of divine comedy at byu,

Our home theater is a bit of a shrine to ‘master chief’ and the xbox 360 game halo. my husband and son are fans. another 20 or more adults/kids come and go from our home on a regular basis to play halo here…

this also includes my daughters. they will one day be the ‘cool girls’

to the ranch in southern nevada where dusty was raised…

cardboard chairs

December 12, 2009

for my final project in my 3d design class,
we designed & built life size cardboard chairs.

each student was required to make a small maquette of their own proposed design, then we were put into groups to vote on our favorite design of each group. Once the favorite was picked, we then went to work on making it life size, durable, and usable.

we had a group of five, and chose micah’s for the group design.

i particularly liked the clean lines of his design, and although we had to scale it down a bit and forgo the ottoman because of time,

Jane’s diet…

March 26, 2008

Quite frequently someone I know or don’t know inquires about my diet.

First of all, I use the word “diet” cautiously. I do not mean the rather negative connotation of the world equaling “starve yourself, trying to lose weight just this week, etc.” I mean, diet as in how I have been eating for the past 5 years and how into the indefinite future plan on eating.

It’s really quite simple. If you are interested in trying this, keep in mind, {disclaimer} I am not a doctor or licensed nutritionist whatsoever! I have done a lot of research on my own, and this works really great for me. I also believe genetics plays a huge role in our body types.
