this is what sela chose for her reward at the store last week…

i have to admit, as messy as it was, i would have totally wanted one
of these when i was a little girl too!

sela gave sophina a beautiful hair dye-make-over, we cleaned up the mess,
and put her in the trash an hour later.

{i sure hope sela never wants one of these ever again!!!}

my days are typically something like this:

8am: wake up, wake up KJ, make sure kiana is getting ready, breakfast one, make beds, start laundry, beg KJ to stay focused!

8:45am: take KJ to tennis, take Kiana to dance…before leaving wake-up myla, and enjoy sela’s morning snuggles before running out the door again.

9:45am: breakfast two, take myla to tennis, bring KJ home, drop off sela at preschool summer camp. make traditional stop for KJ’s pina-colada icee and treat.

11am: pick up myla from tennis. second pina-colada icee stop.

11:15am: find entertainment for kids while i work-out while watching season 5 of desperate housewives…almost done with season 5…{love it!!!} shower.

with my passion for blogging, i’ve decided to implement a new weekly post:

flashback fridays.

i want to slowly add more memories from our past, not just the current happenings to my world of blogging.

flashback memories may include memories from our family, my family, dusty’s family, maybe even a little u.s. history – who knows…this will evolve…

so, for my first post, while sitting here i started thinking,

“where were we ten years ago, this month… June 2000???”

this realization almost scared me, with the reality of how much has happened in my life in the past ten years. wow. as often as we hear it or say it,

myla was visiting/playing at a neighbor’s house last weekend, before she came home, the mom {a friend of mine} sent me this text:
my friend: “…we just had a priceless interaction with myla.”
myla: “There’s a song that says, ‘i like my men strong and built like horses’ when i hear that i always think of centaurs!
my thoughts: luckily, myla is truly thinking centaurs. 😉

after the last day of school,
kj asked me on sunday morning,

she doesn’t start out sleeping upside down…

in fact, she doesn’t start out in our bed!
she goes to sleep in her bed, wakes up around 4am and gets in our bed…
then she manages to flip herself around and end up in this position

almost every morning.

we love her snuggles. the sweet yummy smell of her hair. her giggles as she is waking up and we tickle her…

but we do not like those feet,

you will find this…

a treasure chest!

currently piled full with dollar toys.
ready to reward kids for doing great things.

or

to encourage them to do great things.

for example, when a small tribe of kids decide to dump out the lego’s,
then they want to run outside to ride bikes…

these little treasures happily get the lego’s picked up.

or

when a little tyke is playing at our house,
and is very sad to leave…
