a portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013.
fear the beard style.

kiana: went to her first sadie hawkins dance this weekend!
myla: her soccer team is currently undefeated!
kj: is currently obsessed with baking pre-made chocolate chip cookie dough. specifically: nestle toll house. his favorite treat, and it makes our house smell so good!
sela: playing with friends is her very very favorite thing – so much so she doesn’t want to sign-up for any dance classes, sports, gymnastics classes,

our boston adventure is coming to an end.

two years went by so quickly.
we had no idea how long we would stay,
no idea where we would live,
who we would meet,
and what we would explore while we were here.

but, we knew we would go to fenway. and this past tuesday, we took kj and myla to what was our last sox game, while we lived here… this time. becuase, y’know… we will be back to visit, and go to more sox games. and maybe, just maybe one day we’ll come back to live in bean town again.

to end on a high note,

the red sox are celebrating fenway park’s 100th birthday this year. on april 20th we attended the game that was the official party. anyone who has ever played for the sox were invited to return + there was a patriotic-tear-dripping-jets-flying-overhead ceremony for the hour before the game started. it was beautiful. the sox were playing the nyy, and both teams wore vintage uniforms. it was very cool. a day in baseball history to remember. husband and i went with miss fourteen + danny.

before the game started, everyone was given sparkling apple cider to toast to another 100 years at fenway. cheers to our beloved team! there really is something magical about baseball games at fenway.

one – so happy friends from home came to visit – our first stop was lunch here and second lunch here.
two – we spent the evening by the waterfront with dinner here.
three – casey is an ice cream kind of guy, so we finished the night here. {get the banana – homemade & to die for!}
four – we purchased our first scalped tickets & made it into the grandstand for a red sox game!
