hey friends. happy martin luther king day! i am posting from a salon in utah while i sit with my laptop on my lap and tin foils all over my head! getting my hair done is one of my favorite things ever. you?

last week, kiwi crate sent us their valentine crate, and i wanted to start the week off by sharing the details with you! first, this crate full of crafty goodies was the perfect distraction for my sela when i was packing for Alt. Summit. she does not like her momma leaving her and i was having a hard time getting anything done with her tugging at my leg!

we celebrated my 37th birthday yesterday, and when i think about making a wish, i really can’t think of much else i want right now. {there are always little things i hope for, …} but when i honestly think about it, my husband and kids all healthy and happy to wake up to snuggling each day… makes me cry happy tears to myself sometimes. i could never wish for more.

after starting the day with snuggles, and getting the kids to school i had my morning cup of tea, followed by a 75 minute hot yoga class, oatmeal, a long hot shower, a hair appointment, lunch with my husband and kiddos at a favorite family restaurant. an afternoon nap,

happy new year!

i’ve been back-posting for days, and finally feel all caught up! traveling and/or the holidays always set me back in blog posts. when they combine themselves at the same time — it’s a double whammy.

with the new year, and post-holiday zest, i have been cleaning. purging. and simplifying. i have cleared spaces in my mind that feel more capable to take on new opportunities this year. with that said, seejaneblog might be a little quiet this month. it might be a little quieter all year. some of my current-non-blogging projects demand more attention than usual, and i am going to fully commit to them.

we don’t always know where we are headed. our family, right now, particularly doesn’t know where we are headed. we have eighteen months invested in our boston adventure and can not decide what to do from here. we like it here. so, maybe we’ll stay indefinitely. we also like utah, and miss it very much. yet, when we think about living in utah again, soon, it doesn’t feel quite right either. not yet. but there are times when it’s painful how much we miss the people and culture in utah. we have always entertained the idea of living in southern california, and can easily see ourselves being there one day, but as much as we adore this idea, it doesn’t feel quite right,
