Go PATRIOTS!

February 4, 2008

a little bit of history on Dusty…. He grew up in Southern Nevada, hence, no professional sports teams. As a kid he watched the show and liked Sam Malone {the bartender who was an ex RED SOX pitcher] just enough that he adopted ALL of the Boston teams as his faves…which makes this a pretty great year for him. Which also, in return, makes this a happy year for us, when he’s happy, we’re happy.

But, we are tailgating without Dusty today, he was up at dawn to leave for the Philippines, he didn’t know he booked this trip on Superbowl Sunday and then once he realized it – there was no way to change it…

Artists in training

January 23, 2008

Some of you may remember back in September when I did a post about Kiana & Myla in their first year of art school. Well, my girls are starting to bring home the masterpieces! I am anxious to start framing some of their art and displaying it around our home. They spent most of the Fall doing sketches/pencil drawings to learn many of the basics. Now they have started using pastels. They both really enjoy going to class and when they come out of class they always wish they could stay longer. Here’s their artwork!

Dancing with a Star…

January 23, 2008

We had plans on going to see “Alvin & the Chipmunks” when we were done playing in the snow. BUT, when I returned home, Dusty & I had voicemail messages from the Sosa’s that Jonathan Roberts from “Dancing with the Stars” [Marie Osmond’s partner] had been at the studio and saw Ezra dancing and was so taken with him [can’t blame him, the kid is adorable!] that he was interested in giving a private to Ezra & his partner [Myla] and Kiana & Tristan. So, plans changed and the girls were really excited for the opportunity to dance with Jonathan, so we headed to the studio… and Dusty & KJ went to the movie –

Jr. Company

January 21, 2008

Kiana had her first performance with “Jr. company” from Center Stage for the 2007-08 year this past Thursday. These are 2 of the 4 dances the team will be performing & competing this year. The girls range in age from 9-13, Kiana is the youngest, but she will be 10 soon! Their director is the adorable Savannah Dalton.

This contemporary dance, “Forgive me Love” is one of her favorites. She is on the front right through most of the dance. Remember, press pause on “Jane’s Groove” at the bottom of our blog before pressing play on the video. Also, I can’t figure out on YouTube why the quality of my videos sometimes decrease when I upload them and other times they look great.

She was radiant, all day. She was full of such a zeal that she couldn’t walk anywhere, she ran. The program ~She was baptized by Grant Underwood and Confirmed by Scott Bland. Her fondness of red!She wants to thank everyone for their thoughtful gifts. Spicy: notice, she already colored her pillowcase this afternoon – also, she added one detail to the baptismal font: the mirror.
Thank you to our friends & family who participated, it was a special day for Myla and absolutely perfect for our family.
