miley cyrus & dinner @ cucina tuscana

{it was a late night for myla, she crashed on my lap before her dinner arrived.}
kiana & valtor {the owner of cucino tuscana, we’re very fond of him.}

the concert was awesome, my fave moment was when miley rode the motorcycle above the crowd {see picture above} and sang, “i love rock ‘n roll!”

and dinner was delicious, as expected.

it’s so fun to take our girls out on the town. of course, it’s more fun when moosey stays awake all evening.

to a whole new level.

this year, we have three kids playing outdoor soccer. for the past few years, only kj and myla have played, kiana retired a while ago…

but this season, kiana’s interest resurfaced and she’s squeezing in soccer games whenever she can between her 18 hours/week dance schedule…

three kids playing soccer =
5 practices a week,
6 games a week,
for five weeks.

dusty and i love every minute of sitting at our kids’ soccer games…even when they are unsure of their passion for being there {like kj}.

our kids’ school had their annual carnival, last week.
dusty & i couldn’t make it, but they had a great time without us!

sela loved it all!

kj loved running around with his buddy nate!

kiana was so excited to be a 6th grader and get to help with the carnival!

in the rhodes home –

dusty has returned to “friday lunches with big papi!” this is a big benefit of papi’s offices being two blocks away from our kids school.

dusty either takes the kids their favorite fast food or checks them out of school for 30 minutes and runs them somewhere to eat.

this is definitely the highlight of their lunch-week!

thirteen days ago we committed {bets included} to three months of no sugar {low-low-carb) and we’re doing good!

ok. i feel really blessed all the time to have
amazing and talented friends.

and then, when i’m not expecting it one friend goes and just does something above and beyond all amazing-ness.

well, that was becky this week. first of all, she planned this fabulous photo shoot with my girls, which i told you all about in the post below. then, she also invited another friend-photographer of hers to also come along…so i got double-photographers. {click here} and after seeing all the pictures of my two big girls, i am speechless.

i love. every. picture.

number nine!
{i’m still hoping for a few more}

we concluded our labor day weekend with good friends, good food,
and some awesome sand volleyball!

why did we have huge balloons? no reason. just fun. where did the ginormous balloons come from? we were lucky enough to have those given to us after the incredibly-talented becky spent her morning taking gorgeous pictures of my girls,
