we have become fans of jerry remy’s down on the harbor in the city.
and, our family loves group hugs, whenever we can squeeze them in!
who is jerry remy? in a nutshell, he was a red sox second baseman starting in the late 70s, he is currently president of the red sox nation, and a red sox commentator for NESN, so obviously we are fans of the restaurant. {go sox!}

Loyalty vs. good biz decision.
I had a Hummer once. It was my dream car. It was big, decked, and perfect for ME. It also got about 9 miles to the gallon. Moving to Boston I needed something I could actually park on the street and that got better gas mileage. I sold the Hummer of 3 years and bought a little crossover. I’m not telling you this to brag that I owned a Hummer (however, did it work? Are you jealous?). I’m referring to El Capitan or Tek. He wants to play and we owe it to him, right?? He’s caught more games in a Red Sox uniform than anyone else. He’s also helped us win two WS titles and helped break the curse!

i was raised in a religion that is goal-happy. and whether this is what influenced me or not while i was growing up, i make goals like some people breathe. really. it’s a natural behavior for me.
i make goals before i wake up of what i want to accomplish by 9am, what needs to be done later that day, what i expect to do this week, this month, this year, etc etc. i think about these goals in my head, i write them on post-it notes, i type them into my phone… i even make goals for the other members of my family. they love that. {myla, you want to make your bed,

after myla woke up to balloons on her birthday,
had chocolate cake for breakfast & opened her gifts.
she also chose her birthday activity for the day…
we had dinner here, then planned an evening to paint fenway park at the paint bar!
it was the perfect painting for our family!
we will now have a gallery of 6 fenways in our home!
this was husbands first time to paint! and he was such a good sport!

if you are traveling with the rhodes family – specifically, me. there is a good chance i might convince a beach vendor to let us borrow eleven fedoras. then i might line you up, and ask you to march in a straight line across the sand. + a little booty shaking. in front of lots of people.
