I do not venture into American Fork very often these days. I notice from I-15 that alot of new restaurants/stores have moved in, but I haven’t actually been there for quite some time.

I went up to Highland to one of my favorite places, “Dear Lizzy” to check out any new merchandise this afternoon while wanting to buy Sela some barrettes they sell that are some of my favorites. Then I met up with my pal Susan BLAND a.k.a. Spicy…her latest nickname from me. This girl can pack in the spice when she eats, stuff that sends my mouth a-burning she eats like chocolate. Our kids school has had a “read-a-thon” for the entire month of February. This past week each classroom chose a book/theme and the room Mom a.k.a. Dusty Rhodes in this case were in charge of decorating the door with the chosen theme. In Myla’s class the room DAD set records with his amazing door decor. Hello, professional door decorator! Myla’s class chose “The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane,” and Dusty had “fast signs” make a disposable door sticker…can we say, “wowzers!”
It was Myla’s turn once again for “Traveling Tales.”

My best friend from High School commented on our blog today, and I am just SO EXCITED! Lots of smiles. We have the hardest time keeping up with each others lives, and this is perfect. So, I had to dedicate a post just to her – these pictures were the best I could find in a five minute scurry. They made me laugh.
