Jane’s personal favorites…from start to finish

If you are a Blondie, and want to keep the brass-ness out of your hair, I like my blond to be more white than yellow-looking, personal choice – use Aveda’s blue malva shampoo, it is a GREAT everyday shampoo –

When I need a little extra color hydration I use the blue malva conditioner, but I only recommend this about once a week or you could go purple…

I encourage Dusty to use the Black Malva shampoo, although, he doesn’t always abide by this… But, it really keeps your dye/color longer if you use a great color shampoo…

We had the most interesting gathering last week –

Danny had been complaining about earaches, so I asked him if he had ever used
“ear wax candles” before…
He had not…

So, I made a stop into Good Earth, our local natural food store and stocked up on a bundle of Candles/Cones – this is what they look like. Hollow-taper-wax-candles-

We had quite the turn-out at our house of interested patrons to get their ears cleaned!

what a day! Myla’s 2nd grade class hosted their annual
“Author’s Tea,”
and it was so impressive! Myla wrote/created a book about “Killer Whales.” Her inspiration for this came from her desire to grow up, one day study Biology {following in her Daddy’s footsteps!}, and then she wants to train/care for Shamu. I think she’s found within herself a pretty true interest, because currently she just had a tadpole die that was almost a frog, we have a cup of dirt in the kitchen that have 2 earthworms living in it, and in my kitchen cupboard she is growing 3 butterflies… Biology could definitely be her thing!

Anyway…All of the parents are invited, and our child reads us their book and another book of Poems they have written all year.

Thanksgiving EVE

November 22, 2007

This was so good! We took the kids this morning to kick-off their Thanksgiving break, 5 days of no school. I love having all my kids home all day, so fun! We are staying in town this week so we’re packing it full of activities. After the movie we had lunch at “Happy Sumo,” everyone needs some sushi before turkey all week… Then Kiana and I went and had our eyebrows waxed this afternoon. My FAVORITE place to get this done is at Nordstrom. The Anastasia counter. Kelly Pack is the only master esthetician who does it at the Orem Nordstrom, and she is awesome! If you have never had your eyebrows waxed or have never had it done by an Anastasia trained person,
