Sundance

Our family & the Howell Boys went up to Sundance today to ride the chair lifts. It was a beautiful day, and perfect weather for doing so. Before we left, we heard there were thunderstorms moving in, then on the drive up the canyon we passed the Provo canyon fire, near bridal veil falls and began to second guess our plans. Fortunately, none of this affected the chair lift ride.

After our chair lift ride & a little hiking, we had dinner at the Foundry Grill. Then on the way down the canyon, like so many other drivers, we pulled over to watch the helicopters & firefighters working on the fire. Our kids were fascinated. Hopefully it will be under control and finished burning, soon.

Next time, we may actually hike to Stewart Falls or take our bikes and try riding down the trails. We didn’t have time to hike to the falls today, and Dusty and I are both intimidated to ride our bikes down…we’ll become brave enough, one of these days…or years.

    It looks gorgeous up there.

  3. That is one of my favorite things to do every fall. It is so relaxing and beautiful up there. Sometimes I feel like I’m in another world.

3 more weeks till I return. I can’t hardly wait. I am very excited to have Myla for another year. Tell her hello for me:)

  4. Oh, this post is making me miss UT! By the way, your kiddos are even cuter (if that is possible) now that I know their little personalities! I am sure you will have great fun with what’s left of your summer. Poor Sela is going to miss KJ when school starts! I wish she could come over and play with Brady 🙂
p.s. Thank you for the hats! Our old landlord tracked Troy down and gave him the other hats you guys sent too. Troy is in Pro-Look heaven!
