photo scans

I was shopping inPebbles in My Pocket about 2 months ago when I began my flower hair clips obsession, and discovered a new service they are offering…

19 cents photo scans.
For 19 cents Pebbles will scan your photo, burn them all on a CD, and it’s an option to have them also upload it to a Heritage Makers acct. for you.

oh my.

I have had PILES of photos sitting on my window bench upstairs by my computer/work area for WEEKS waiting for me to scan in… for various reasons.
I wanted to get all the photos I have, from my childhood, since Dusty and I have been dating/married, our kids, all of them. so I can have a digital copy on a CD {from our pre-digital years}, get it uploaded to a photo server, and not have ANY photos sitting around in closets. The clutter of loose photos just drives me crazy!

You wouldn’t believe this! I am almost DONE with this project!

unbelievable, isn’t it?!?

At first I was taking in shoe boxes of organized lose photos to them. Then I started taking old photo albums. They were willing to take the photos out of the little slide-jackets, scan them, and put them all back in order into the photos albums…WOW! They also kept it organized by album for me. So, I have a CD of all the photos per album/shoe box.

Plus, I already had a Heritage Makers account, so they uploaded them to MY account. I may or may not use them there, but if I decide to make a Heritage Makers book out of them, one of the first BIG steps is already DONE for me!

Now I am going to do the photo albums that I have from my Dad when he passed away. Dusty is also going to send over a few piles of his from the office.

I am just so excited about this, that I wanted to share the news with everyone! If any of you know of scan services being offered elsewhere that offer better prices – let me know!

Also, every $25.00 you spend, you get 25 scans FREE!

  1. Wow! This is amazing! I am EIGHT YEARS behind on my family albums because my pictures aren’t digital! I guess it’s time to get to work. I’m so glad you shared:)

  2. Hi Jane!

Thank you so much for the great post about our new scanning services. Our Salt Lake, Orem, and St. George stores all provide this service. Orem also provides new printing services. It sounds like you’re well on your way to getting all your pictures and documents scanned and preserved. Way to go!!!
