are you hosting an Easter breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner this weekend? if so, do you have plans for a kids table? if you answered yes to both of those questions, here are my ideas for you:

we plan on having a simple {cereal, eggs, and bacon} Easter breakfast, tending to our traditional festivities, and then we are dining out for Easter dinner. because our mornings can be crazy when six of us are all getting ready in our sunday best, i want to make breakfast special, and memorable for the holiday, but easy. a good combination, right?

for some time now i’ve wanted to create a custom placemat that could be used all year long.

kiana: started up piano lessons again this week! i think she missed it. she’s been playing multiple times a day, every day.
myla: we travel throughout new england almost every weekend for USTA tournaments for this girl. and promptly after she’s finished, we go to lunch, or dinner – touring the restaurants of new england with her too! she has a fetish for root beer floats.

regardless of the presence or type of faith in one’s life, i feel Easter simply represents spring, and life. arriving appropriately when things are hatching and blooming and green is finally awakening under blankets of melting snow. it just seems right… to celebrate life and to include family and friends in those celebrations.

we are not seeing the signs of spring here in new england {yet}, since we woke up to a fresh six inches of snow this morning. {ugghhh…} however, we are still starting our spring traditions and this year with something new – an easter egg decorating party!

we invited a dozen mommas + their kiddos to join us for an evening of egg decorating and dinner.

came and went in the blink of an eye. our kiddos woke up to a trail of three leaf clovers that lead to a pot of treats. we had a busy family day, and that was it! what did you do?

see jane’s blog roll

March 14, 2013

since i arrived home from Alt. summit in January i have been making my way through the business cards i collected from all the incredible people i met. since doing so, i decided 2013 would be a good year to add a blog roll to seejaneblog that includes many of my well-loved favorite bloggers {mostly friends} and some of the new virtual connections. while i am post-surgery resting, working on a few other upcoming events and projects, and spring cleaning… this will give you time {months actually!} to peruse these blogs. also, i am currently updating my google reader {did you know google reader retires on July 1st? any recommendations on what to do???}, please share your favorite blogs in the comment section below if they are not included on my list!
