ok readers, i told you yesterday there was going to be a surprise! it’s time to share our families love of black-framed retro glasses and mr. bean’s style with the world!
this year, we want all of your elves to magically appear around the house in cool eye swag! so, i’ve planned an easy way for you to make them:
- print the elf glasses template on card stock.
- trim the glasses slowly & carefully with an exacto knife. i recommend putting cardboard or a cutting board under the paper. using a ruler will help you cut straight.
- using zots dots, or something similar, cut a dot in half and fold it for the middle of the glasses and place on your elf’s nose. zots dots also work great for holding your elf in crazy positions because it’s easy to hide the tiny dots.
- ta-da! super cool elf.

I am taking the plunge this Christmas season and starting the Elf on the Shelf tradition! I won’t be nearly as creative as you, but hey, it’s a start 🙂
Darling! Stella is getting her eyes checked on Monday…so if she needs glasses this will be a perfect addition to our elf!
This so such a cute and creative idea. Even though I still have five months till my elf Stuart arrives, I will be sure to remember to try this so he’ll be a nerd like me! ;D
