to add to my book of dreams…

some time in this life,
i hope to be at a little club, little concert,
and i want to be on stage to sing along with husband & great friends,
in a song like this…

i want to be the girl with the tambourine.
husband comes in with the trumpet solo.
…he already owns a trumpet,
he played it in high school,
i’m sure he’s up to the task!

i hope everyone is having a BEAUTIFUL weekend!!!

i took a little break from my ‘flashback fridays,’
but now, i’m back
…because you can never over-document the past.

…sixteen years ago, when i was a freshmen in college at suu,
we had a newbie band visit cedar city.
the bands name was ‘life in general.’
and they performed a nighttime concert in a local park…
i hung around after the show to buy their cd, “long forgotten toys.”

…three years ago,
when i was sitting in this exact same spot,
trying to pick a url name for my blog,

myla was visiting/playing at a neighbor’s house last weekend, before she came home, the mom {a friend of mine} sent me this text:

my friend: “…we just had a priceless interaction with myla.”

myla: “There’s a song that says, ‘i like my men strong and built like horses’ when i hear that i always think of centaurs!“

my thoughts: luckily, myla is truly thinking centaurs. 😉

one of my girlfriends from my college days at SUU, katie {k8, so clever}, from ‘replikate‘ is now the music guru over on “a little great,” a fantastic blog about all things lifestyle.

k8’s first post is here. as i read this last sunday, i have to agree with katie…
my soul was definitely touched by dolly parton!

i love music. especially it’s ability to take us back to certain places & times in our lives,

so nostalgic. i love it’s ability to conjure up all sorts of emotion. love. excitement. patriotism.
