spring break

April 19, 2009

has been total chill at our home…including the weather, at times.

in the past nine days we visited a few parks, an arcade, went to a couple of movies, ate out a few times {including the new “five guys burger & fries,} the kids have had non-stop play dates and sleepovers with friends, we’ve cleaned-cleaned-cleaned for spring, and I still had school {boo.}

Myla and her friend boston have taken up a new neighborhood past time of “dumpster diving.” They also went fishing at night with headlamps, the girl was in heaven!

Kiana finished a couple novels, and slept in till 1pm nearly every afternoon. she also spent a good few hours playing this with Eli and Ethan-

KJ logged at least 100 hours on the x-box 360.

“Dae Han Min Guk!”

March 26, 2009

since I went back to school, I also go back to spring break!

most of my spring break I was chanting,

“Dae Han Min Guk!” {Korea} bum-bum, bum-bum-bum!

or, “U.S.A., U.S.A., U.S.A!”

Dusty planned my spring break this past weekend for four full days of baseball games, movies, delicious food, and shopping…in Los Angeles.

We went to the world baseball classic. This was the/our 2nd world baseball classic, we also attended the first one three years ago in California. It’s a new-er tradition for us.

{all pictures compliments of Jared, I didn’t take my camera!}
maybe i love sitting at a baseball game…

after a weeks worth of festivities…parties, cupcakes, cake, special meals, and gifts…totally how I believe every birthday should be celebrated: a few days of complete spoiling! our baby girl is really eleven years old today…

Kiana chose Sammy’s for lunch and Tepanyaki’s for dinner. We had birthday cake {from the sweet tooth fairy} and gifts from the family.

After dinner Kiana, Eli, and Ethan went to see “Mall Cop,” while Danny, Dusty, and I went to see “TAKEN.” wow. wow. wow.
could Liam Neeson be any more sexy fighting to get his daughter back? I mean,

you, me, and danny

February 28, 2009

today is danny’s birthday!

we celebrated with sushi at happy sumo and a movie…slumdog millionaire deserves every academy award it won. we all loved it.

the cutest, most genuine, incredible kid-actors, great plot, completely moving. LOVE the Bollywood influence!

Dusty finished the book a couple weeks ago and insists that if you read it before OR after the movie, they both have their own thing going for them and you should definitely enjoy both.

we have a new post-movie tradition…starbucks!happy birthday!
you are, and have always been a dear, loyal, and treasured friend.
what on earth would we do without the howell boys?!?
