was amazing.
beautiful success.

the ‘one voice children’s choir’ sang daphne’s song,
and most of us had glistening eyes.

this will forever be one of my favorite saturday mornings, for our family.

so fun to wake-up and start the day with all of us running. not just us.
we were surrounded by daphne, her family, neighbors, so many dear friends…

some of their friends pre-races…

i’ve come to the conclusion,

my husband is on his longest business trip, ever.
the longest we have been apart from one another, since we’ve been married.
we’re two weeks + one day down.
and hopefully less than two more weeks to go.

on the day we dropped him off at the airport,
we {me, my kids, plus a few of their friends} spent the afternoon in slc.

our main event was going here.
we love our annual tradition of visiting the animals.

we chose the best day to go!
we were there for two and a half hours in the late afternoon,
there were maybe fifty people in the entire zoo!

is a water park in salt lake city.
it’s primary focus is water slides.

we chose one of the hottest days of the year,
to spend half a day there.

kiana and her friend reagan are being dumped on by the huge bucket
in the first set of pictures…

then sela & her friend cozy are playing in the little kid attractions
in the second set of pictures…

myla & kj were nowhere to be found.
they did every slide almost twice,
and i think they went around the lazy river
200 times…

summer in the sun!

it’s been one year since myla made…
the big decision.

this summer, she moved up one league level in soccer.
she said good-bye to city rec. and is now playing in “AA”

their team is being coached by two of her friends’ dads,

and dusty {when he is in town}…
this past weekend they registered the team for

strikerfest.

a local tournament, the idea being to get the girls
united as a team, and some experience together before
their real season begins.

they did so good!
i was so proud of them!

our friends joe & caryn have three older boys,
and one year ago,
they welcomed this beautiful baby girl into their family.

{it was so exciting!}

now…miss kelsey is one!

we joined their family for an adorable luau,
caryn made all the cupcakes!
they were adorable and delicious!

happy 1st birthday, baby girl!
