*our girls*

February 18, 2011
there was a phase of our life, when these two girls were our only babies.

they are 22 months apart.

and, we really debated not having any more kids.

i was charmed by husband saying things like, “for my girls” and “there’s my girls” in reference to the three of us.

we thought two kids was perfect, one for each of us to manage, when moments get crazy.

{ha! that didn’t last long… we had two more, now we think 4 is perfect!}

but, for 3 years, kiana and myla were *our girls,*
we lived in Asia &

2004; myla moosey

2010; sela sparkles

and i had to smile when, no matter how many times our eyes met, she still looked over at me every few seconds to make sure that i was watching…

and trust me, between my camera and the video camera on my phone,
i watched every single step.

.....

we headed up to salt lake city to cheer for our bearzy while she performed
in an opening act at the rockettes christmas spectacular.

(note: this is the first year for the rockettes to go on tour)

there could not be a better way to transition from thanksgiving to christmas!

kiana and center stage did awesome!

dude, the rockettes are awesome!

and, it’s such a fun-family-friendly-christmas-jammin’-show! we had pretty good seats down on the floor near the stage, and had paper snow {a blizzard} falling on us, lots of confetti and streamers. kj and sela could hardly
contain themselves in their chairs. they were either standing up dancing or chasing streamers.

.....

kiana was in a show last weekend at a local theater,
and it was incredible!

…we had the most amazing turn-out for her on thursday night.

i tried to count, we had sixty+ people there
who were friends-family-neighbors-her besties…

dude, it was fun.

thank you to everyone who came,

brought her flowers, cake bites!
your support fills our hearts!
much much love!

nycda – salt lake city

November 6, 2010

…well, after most of our halloween festivities wrapped up last week,
we all headed up to salt lake city to meet up with kiana at her nycda
dance convention-competition.

here’s a little peek at how our family squishes ourselves into one hotel room.

yes, our youngest child throws a fit about her bed on the floor,
which usually means she ends up in someone else’s bed before 2am.

if you notice myla sunken in her bed,
she had messed with the remote-numbers on her bed,
and it was never quite right the rest of the night…

those ‘number’ beds just don’t make any sense to me!

we were all up &

this little black cat…

November 5, 2010

had her dance class halloween recital last week.

her teacher, ms. kim, has taught all three of my girls when they were each between
the ages of 2-6, and i cannot say enough good about her.
dare i say, we’ve been going to preschool/kindergarten dance classes
for a decade with ms. kim!

she works magic with this age group,
every week, those girls follow her every move, she’s mesmerizing!
and her energy is magical.

the dancers did a cowgirl-tap dance first…

then they hung on the bars {which is NEVER allowed the rest of the year!} and
pretended to be leaves hanging from a tree.
