Myla & I had our 2nd golf lesson this morning with Melanie. We learned how to chip and practiced hitting the ball from about 50 feet away from the hole. It was a beautiful day! I am definitely better at chipping than my swing for a long shot… I love that Myla enjoys every aspect of this sport. She LOVES riding in the golf cart {she can’t wait till she can drive it by herself}, loves the golf lesson, loves filling her holes in the grass with the dirt/seed mix, loves picking up the golf balls at the end of her lesson… all-around it’s a good day for her!
And, Melanie is awesome.

did I mention…moosey loves stealing the golf balls?!?

The excitement of the first day of school was in the air this morning…

Everyone was happy to be awake {except Momma and Papi} and really looking forward to their day. The kids were so excited to be back in uniforms! They looked so cute!

Dusty & I took all the kids to school together, dropped them off, took some pictures and had some errands this morning. At about 10am, I got a phone call from Kiana from school. She needed a digital camera. Evidently, we were the only family who missed the note or request to bring one today because her class was working on a photo essay. How cool & fun does that assignment sound?!?

Back to school shopping: Check! {a bit too much, actually…plus I’m testing out some leak proof stainless steel lunch boxes to see if they’re better than plastic ones.}
Back to school dentist appointments: Check! {No cavities, 2 new retainers for K & M}
Back to school haircuts: Check! {K got her first highlights!}
Back to school NIGHT: Check!

This will be the first time in 4 years that all of our kids are going to be attending the same school. It makes everything so convenient! One stop to drop kids off, one stop to pick them up, one back to school night…

The kids took all their supplies to school tonight and loaded up their desks.

is a box enthusiast.

With her latest box creation, she used post-it notes to make little furniture…she also found a tiny light bulb {from somewhere in the house; at a later date I am sure I will find where it was taken from!} which is in the place of a lantern on the corner table…

Kiana and Myla both have new ballroom partners for the upcoming dance year.

For Myla, this is her 3rd year of ballroom, and her 2nd partner. She danced with Ezra the past 2 years, but their partnership has retired.

Now, she is dancing with Ammon. Today was their first competition together, and for Ammon it was his first ballroom competition ever. They did a cha-cha, and were so cute together!
They did great!
