we made our annual-october trip to lagoon a couple weeks ago
for frightmares.

while there, we visited pioneer village,
and took an old-fashioned family picture…

we had done this once before,
in 2004~

and now, six years later…

in 2010!

wow. how our family has changed!
{i wish i still looked that young!}

…husband said we need to keep the tradition alive,

and go get a picture taken again, in six years…

our kids will be 10,

this weekend, our story began with dusty’s high school reunion.

…his twenty-first reunion, which included an entire decade of class reunions

in his small town nevada. 1985-1994.

we attended an adults~only dinner, and the homecoming football game, friday night lights! husbands 1A school plays 8-man, pvhs won somewhere around 58-0… go panthers!

we attended an alumni volleyball game, where kiana and i played and we all had fun.

there was an alumni basketball game, where the kids ruled the gym

between the scoreboard and microphone…

there was a potluck at the city park with bounce houses,

to keep our feet warm!
{i consider this a motherly-duty.}

when kj was four years old,
i was helping him one winters day to get his ugg boots on…
while doing so, he told me,

“mom, my feet go in there & go to sleep…”

a perfect description.

i spent two days last weekend, with our new *uggs lined up on the back patio,
giving them two generous coats of water & stain repellent.
…i must take good care of them!

i thought they looked beautiful just all lined up, out there!

bring on the cold!!!

once again, without realizing it till the pictures came home,
i dressed or encouraged my kids to wear the same two colors for their school pics this year…

i totally have color-moods.

and, i can’t begin to explain how much i love thee four.

my bestie bex, has a mister named max.

he is one handsome buddy to my sela and kj.
sela & kj have some very fueled sibling arguments over who’s friend he is.
you understand, max is very loved in our home.

well, my bestie’s mister is turning 5 today!!!
and i was the lucky friend-party lover who helped her with
some little robot plans for his party,
a couple weeks ago…

for example,

i volunteered to build max a robot for the party.
{i am crossing my fingers he wears the costume for halloween too!}

this project reminded me of great memories when i designed this.

we have had an exceptionally warm autumn this year.
and you will hear no complaints here.

i love spring and autumn, and cooler weather,
but sunshine is just too good
to complain about it!

however, i realize, because of the extended warmth,
the colder weather is going to strike soon. very soon.
here in utah, there’s some sort of biblical weather promise,
it always snows by halloween. i kid you not.
it will snow before halloween.

on october 2nd, sela’s official big day,
we still had 80+ degrees!

so, after our traditional family birthday breakfast at magleby’s,
where sela dined on chocolate cake &
