C A B O

November 16, 2007

For the second time this year, CABO was amazing. Dusty realized before we left that this trip had three great things going for it. First, we were going without kids. Second, we were going without any other couples/or people we knew in general (not to offend anyone, we LOVE to travel with friends – as you ALL know.) And third, I was not pregnant. The combination of those three things and a trip have not happened in 10+ YEARS! This is the bed we would lounge on each afternoon after we would finally wake up before/after noon…This was our view most of the time, unless of course the occasional dolphin went jumping by,

We went to Pueblo Bonito’s PACIFICA Hollistic retreat & spa (adults only) last February with the Taylor’s for both of our 11th anniversaries and it was awesome! I thought we were going to Vegas for Dusty’s birthday but he came home Monday night and said, “I want to go somewhere HOT, with no one around, with YOU….to read…watch lots of TV…eat…for my birthday.” and five minutes later it was booked, ta-da! We’ve been told, any of you “Bachelor” fans that one of the episodes/dates was just filmed at this resort. It’s beautiful, and we’d recommend it to anyone looking for a get-a-way with your honey.

because Elle had a basketball tournament today in Ogden. We were able to go as a family and watch her last 2 games. She did GREAT and it was fun to see her play. The kids loved running around the gym while she did so – here’s a couple pictures of her in action, she’s #11. Elle was playing on a team from Ely, and she is actually from Pioche so Dusty donated these “rejected uniforms” for their team to wear. They were definitely the best dressed jr. high team there!Dusty & Sela before the drive home, she’s in her jammies ready to fall asleep in the car.

This is my idea of watching a football game, especially on a November evening. We stayed warm & had yummy food. I had to show the first picture, Brian couldn’t take his eyes off the TV to smile at the camera, so we tried again… Brian is an AD at BYU. Then, of course, my little GAMER wearing his BYU beannie that we got free in the loge!
