the holidays 2010
well, dusty closed the doors of his company of almost 15 years- pro look sports. we sold our house, pulled the kids out of school, and are moving to a commune in montana to grow organic food, raise animals, and live in peace with the universe. ok, maybe not…changed our minds once we realized there was no indoor plumbing. anyway, i wanted to start this letter with something more interesting than, “this economy sucks, happy holidays…how are you?!?”
for those of you saying, “but dusty & jane, your christmas letter is the most exciting part of my family’s christmas celebration and we look forward to it with joyful glee and anticipation” please get a life!

eighty and sunny…
where we are.
{greetings from mexico.}
we are spending our afternoons by the pool, at the beach, by another pool, by another beach, by another pool, by another beach. repeat. repeat. repeat. {for two weeks!}
life is good.
life was best for my moosey when we discovered they had set-up new soccer goals down on the beach.
her birthday is next week, and she is now requesting we play sand soccer all day for her!
the sand crab,
caught by big papi,
created some big smiles from our little munchkins…
.....
tits for tots.
yep. you read it correctly.
that’s what shannon’s sweater said
as we celebrated christmas-sweater style!
our neighbors, the napierski’s, had one big christmas bash tonight.
delicious food, {lots & lots of food}, photo back-drop, couples quizzes, games,
fun, people we love, tacky christmas sweaters…
we were the nerds of the party.
it’s a little theme we’re rockin’ all season long.
as we walked home from this party tonight. there were snowflakes. big, beautiful white snowflakes. almost as if the snow gods knew i wanted to have a white christmas,
.....
our neighborhood christmas party…
was beautiful, and silly.
two homes to our right is one of the most beautiful homes in america.
the homeowner builds homes {check this out!},
and he and his wife are both artists {check out her etsy shop, here!!!}
and what they created with this home, is stunning. unbelievable, actually.
every time i visit their home, it transports me, to somewhere far from here.
you really have to experience it, to have any idea what i’m talking about.
needless to say, we were all thrilled to find out they were hosting
the neighborhood christmas party!

thanksgiving point – holiday lights…
i typically dislike upsells.
however, if you choose to go see the holiday lights at thanksgiving point this year… {click here for more info}
the 3D glasses are pretty cool. they come in 3 special effects themes,
snowman – snowflake – gingerbread man.
we purchased one of each. this causes every light you see to have one of those shapes floating next to it.
turns out, those floating shapes are pretty darn cool.

sunroof = best seat in the house for christmas lights!
the night we went, {the day after thanksgiving}
we were the only car driving through the christmas lights.
