Seed beads tutorial

March 2, 2019

This past summer a friend of mine introduced me to seed bead bracelets and I have been obsessed since. (Thank you Lindsey Thomas!) There’s a few reasons I love making them. First, I can set up a small station at home or while we’re traveling and come and go throughout the day. It’s rare that I get a big chunk of time to do a project so fitting in a few minutes here and there works best with my schedule. You can make a bracelet in about 15 minutes. Who doesn’t love a project you can start and finish in time like that?! Second, the supplies are affordable. And third, there are endless options for creating.

you guys know i have a soft spot for events. and creating. so, when stephanie {the owner of gatehouse no. 1 in orem, utah} asked me to be a part of her open house i was thrilled! plus, i was able to teach a fall decorating class and plan a make & take with one of my all-time favorite ladies – courtney snowden! double thrill!

if you came to the open house, thank you so very very very much – it was such a fun evening packed with festive cheer. gatehouse no. 1 is a really impressive home furnishings store, and if you are coming to utah,

DIY: repotting little trees

November 27, 2012

this past october i was hired by burt’s bees baby to be the photography stylist for their holiday/spring lines. this was new territory for me that i quickly learned i was 100% prepared for. i loved every minute of the prep work and time spent on the shoot. i find total pleasure in working with other people who also think with the right side of their brains. friends, i may have found my calling in life! i had never really put two and two together, but i truly “style” all day long. everyday. i set-up little vignettes all-over our home – when we’re away from our home – when i blog –

happy holiday crafting!

when i saw this MDF chalkboard wall, it made me smile, and i knew it was going to be the perfect addition to our new home. what i like best about this wall? it’s portable! since we are renting – if we move soon, it can go with us! or! if i get tired of it being in our dining room — i can move it to another room in the house! so perfect.

1: one sheet of MDF board, 8 ft. x 4 ft. x 3/4″. is the size i used, or choose the size that accommodates the space you plan to place it in.
