Jane’s pork chops

September 26, 2007

OK, so a few of you have had these, and requested the recipe before, so last night when I made them I took step-by-step photos to assist any of you in making them…

First of all, the pork chops you buy are very important. They must be thin pork chops, and should be cooked within 1-3 days of buying them. I recommend NOT freezing them. Try to buy them right before you plan on using them.Second, lightly flour the pork chops.Place the lightly floured pork chops in the frying pan and season with salt & pepper, and Lawry’s.Continue to flip the pork chops every couple of minutes while frying till they start to be lightly coated from the flour and seasonings in the oil.

One of my darling neighbors made this cake for our family just about a year ago after Sela was born – we were all instantly hooked. I would wake up in the middle of the night to feed Sela, and go to the kitchen to have another piece, seriously delish!

1 yellow cake mix
1 small box instant chocolate pudding
1/2 cup sugar
– remove lumps with a wire wisk

Add:
3/4 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup water
3 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 cup semi-sweet chcolate chips (I like to use the big ghiradelli ones)
– stir with electric mixer 2 minutes

Put in an greased bundt pan and bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes.

This is one of those, Chicken Squares. I’m not so sure if its a very good picture of it, I’ve decided I’m not great at displaying/photographing food…at least not yet –

Chicken Squares
Melt 3 tbl. butter/margarine in a frying pan. Saute’ 1 tbl. chopped white onion. When the onion is slightly browning add 2 cups cubed cooked chicken. Brown together.

In a seperate bowl, add 1 softened package cream cheese, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1/8 tsp. pepper, 1 tbl.

I don’t think I can keep up with more than one blog, so an entire blog just for recipes isn’t going to happen for me, BUT, I can add it here now and then…
These are two of my standby salads that I made yesterday for an event…. if you are interested in trying either of the two, here are the recipes –

1 pound fried bacon bits
