Do you feel motivated by a good quote? Do you talk to your kids, spouse, significant other or friends about mantras? Do you use mantras? I find deep inspiration in a quote I relate to. When I read something that inspires me or makes me view the world from a different perspective I also like to re-visit those words regularly. My family is accustomed to me sending them daily quotes to think about or taping something up in our kitchen as a visual reminder to live life with kindness, authenticity, love, etc. So it came as no surprise to my family last week when I taped up a page FULL of mottos for this summer.

I shared our summer motto’s on Instagram and promised to make it available to all of you.

With my break from blogging, I also stepped away from pinterest. I would pop in every once in a while and take a look around, but for almost two years I didn’t pin very often. My love for pinterest sways because as much as it is packed with good, amazing images – all hail Ben Silbermann!!! It also frustrates a lot of “creatives” who want to have and admire original ideas.

Maybe you have seen this happen: someone posts a creative/uniquely artsy idea or image on instagram. Within the first handful of comments a follower will say, so cool! i saw something like that on pinterest. Instant emotional deflation. In the art world,

enjoy the weekend! here in massachusetts, our kids are starting their february vacation. they have the next nine days off! one of my myla’s best friends is flying out from utah to spend the week with us, so we are having a stay-cation. it’s good to have visitors because it encourages us to get out and sight see! any recommendations for things we should see or do around boston that we have maybe not done yet? do you have any plans?
