feast your eyes on…

susan’s prime rib, and your mouth will be watering.

earlier this month,
we had our annual new years dinner at the bland family residence.

i dote on tradition.
so, tradition + good friends + delicious food.

always amazing.

suz put lights under the sheer fabric to decorate the buffet,
such a cute-easy-super fancy idea!

thank you to the lovely hosts, xo.

i’m thirty-five.
as in, almost twenty-four hours ago, i turned thirty-five.
and, i was shakin’ it with this iphone photo app, all weekend…

my entire weekend has been a celebration.
so much goodness jam-packed into three days.

how am i feeling? about this big three-five?

well, the first five years of my thirties were beautiful,
easy to age…as i kept adding those years.

this next five i might not take with such grace.
this three-five feels like the older-side-of-thirty.

but…

for now, i’m happily-thirty-five,

girls lunch on friday at smashburger…my choice of restaurant!

the after-party…

December 30, 2010

when all of our birthday parties come to an end,
it would be too sad to see it all leave too quickly.

so, i like to take all the balloons, gifts etc etc
and fill up the child’s bedroom with all the hoopla
to continue the celebration a few more days…

i love the idea that each time they walk in their room,
they might take in a huge breathe,
and think, “wow. this is awesome!”

anything i can do to extend a celebration!

{myla’s room after her pink panther party…a big pink poof!}

my moosey is basking in sunny celebrations for her birthday here in cabo… today.
her requests: she wants to play sand soccer on the beach all day.
then dinner at “the office” which is where the party is at, here in cabo.
earlier this month, we celebrated pink-panther style…take a gander:

{the first invitation i’ve designed in illustrator…ta-da!}

{we played this theme song as the guest arrived, and during pizza time}

moosey has always been a pink panther movie fan.

yep. you read it correctly.
that’s what shannon’s sweater said
as we celebrated christmas-sweater style!

our neighbors, the napierski’s, had one big christmas bash tonight.

delicious food, {lots & lots of food}, photo back-drop, couples quizzes, games,
fun, people we love, tacky christmas sweaters…

we were the nerds of the party.

it’s a little theme we’re rockin’ all season long.

as we walked home from this party tonight. there were snowflakes. big, beautiful white snowflakes. almost as if the snow gods knew i wanted to have a white christmas,

.....

tradition. i obsess over traditions…

our annual thaanum {my moms-side-of-the-family} family christmas party.
the menu always changes, but the activity remains the same.

gingerbread houses!

{want a great item to put on your christmas list? add this!}

we love it around here,
and it was used again last weekend at the family party.

my secret-panini ingredient – this.

seriously.

don’t question me.
add those stackers with muenster cheese…
and whatever else you love,
the combination makes panini’s magical.

and,
