we wanted to relax, sleep, read by the fire, eat good food, spa, and repeat.

so, we drove ten minutes from our home to sundance.

it was the ideal getaway…for three days.

husband told me, in reference to this little sign below,

“baby, you can’t stay in here…it says non-smokin’ “

all these years, and he still has cheesy lines for me. {smiling}

we love this restaurant.

i’m thirty-five.
as in, almost twenty-four hours ago, i turned thirty-five.
and, i was shakin’ it with this iphone photo app, all weekend…

my entire weekend has been a celebration.
so much goodness jam-packed into three days.

how am i feeling? about this big three-five?

well, the first five years of my thirties were beautiful,
easy to age…as i kept adding those years.

this next five i might not take with such grace.
this three-five feels like the older-side-of-thirty.

but…

for now, i’m happily-thirty-five,

girls lunch on friday at smashburger…my choice of restaurant!

“pizza with a purpose”

for every meal you purchase at malawi’s,
they donate a healthy meal to an orphan in malawi, africa.
{meals for meals}

ummm, how cool is that?
{sounds a lot like toms, love them too!}

this is the latest pizza joint in utah county.
don’t be fooled by the african-theme,
because there is no african food,
only italian.

the menu boasts healthy italian flare,
with a big open atmosphere.

my girlfriends and i have pretty much fallen in love with this place.

we’ve been going there regularly for a few months now,

we now have ‘cafe paeson!’ right here in orem!

the same freshly made food,
the same amazing goodness…
italian style!

my recommendation…run, don’t walk!

we dined on the apple pork salad served over wheat flatbread,
kids’ cheese pizzas {to die for!},
and on friday & saturday evenings after 5pm,
you can order lasagna…

did i say delicious???

is one of the best secrets of utah county.

a hidden, fine-dining restaurant on the campus of uvu.
for $20/person + drinks,
it’s the best six course meal you will find!

i’ve now dined at greg’s on cuban night, italian, and french.
all three were excellent.

this next weekend, we have reservations to take the kids on american night-
seems the best kid-friendly menu & a great culinary arts institute experience

for my little ones to absorb.

i consider greg’s to be a great meal, mixed with an atmosphere that is almost like a reality TV show. you get to watch the kitchen and see the students in training,
