happy weekend!

my husband has been at the big dance all week. this is one of the largest conventions all year for his company. and, the poor guy – right after he arrived in texas, he had to take himself to a hospital because he was so sick. we thought maybe he had strep throat, but come to find out, he had an ear infection in each ear & his left ear drum had burst! {not good to be flying in such a condition!}

i don’t know about other husbands, but mine does not fair well in pain. {wink, wink} and i’ve been very worried about him all week.

happy weekend!

this weekend, we are on our way to northern california, to attend a family wedding. we are traveling from orem, utah to bridgeport, california. near yosemite. we are taking the kids to see yosemite.
ten hours of driving, each way. does anyone have suggestions for
“road-trip must sees, must eat, must experience” along this route?

we have lots of fun plans, and very disappointingly won’t be able to make it to the chalk art festival at the gateway but we went last year and loved it!

if you are in the salt lake city area, you don’t want to miss it on friday or saturday! i like going on saturday to see all the finished chalk art!

are in the plans.

but right this minute: sleep is inconvenient. i always stay up waaaayyy too late, it’s the only way to Get Stuff Done. i’m considering starting a movement…the Secret Sleepless Society. and sara, she can be a founding member with myself.

i’m currently taking a mind break. between last week and this week i am about to take my second art history test, tomorrow. waaaayyy too much information to be memorized in such close periods of time.

the bright side? as soon as i finish the two-and-a-half-hour-essay-exam, i will be on my way to a lovely weekend with my husband. we are leaving the little people home. {uh-huh.} and, we will be amongst incredible friends,
