I just finished reading The Memory Keeper’s Daughter, by Kim Edwards. It was a Great book. It was the book from our November book club, but I didn’t get it read in time as there was a Long wait at the libary for it.Â
The story of a man who gives up his daughter born with down syndrome and telling his wife she was born stillborn. The story has two sides, the husband and his family and the nurse who takes his daughter and raises her. And then how the lie builds a wall between the family. My description doesn’t do the book justice, but I strongly recommend it!
Sounds very sad but then again Tuesday w/Morrie was sad and it ended up being a favorite.
