So much for the relaxed hum-drum pace of not working, that I enjoyed the first week and a half of unemployment.  Since getting back last week, I have been busy meeting friends for lunch, scouring job postings for jobs (and discussing them with the consulting company I’ve been working with), and preparing for Thanksgiving day at our house.

We are expecting around 30 people, so there is a lot to do!  Luckily, everyone is bringing something, so I am only making a turkey (my mother-in-law is making one too), stuffing, mashed potatoes, and sweet potatoes.

Tomorrow is all about cleaning and getting the turkey in the brine.  And Thursday morning I’ll be up early to make mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes.  Just got to get them in the crockpots so they’ll be ready for dinner!  Oh and the turkey too!
